Bethesda moved above Caernarfon in the Division 1 North table following this match at the Morfa.

Neither side looked like scoring a try but Bethesda’s forwards were stronger than their opponents throughout the match.

Playing up the slope wih a stiff breeze at their backs, Bethesda’s forwards and half backs controlled play and the home scrum was under severe pressure - pressure that resulted in Caernarfon yielding a number of penalties.

Bethesda’s fullback, Gethin Long took advantage of the opportunities with 4 successful kicks which made the score 12 points to 0 to the visitors at the interval.

The wind died down by the second period and, with Bethesda playing down the slope, the visiting forwards took complete control for the rest of the match.
